I grew up on my parents Tutukaka coast beef farm,
close to all the beautiful east coast beaches.
I was home schooled, the middle child of five,
and learnt most about life while out in the hills and bush,
working hard on the farm and soaking up the beach.
I loved being outside, no matter what the job was,
and most of my jobs have been farming related.
I ran a rabbit farm for four years,
tried 50/50 share milking for three years in a partnership,
restored two sailing boats and renovated a house
with my husband which is now our home.
I have worked part time for three years with popeple with disabilities
at Sport Northlands Movement Rehabilitation Program.
I am soon to leave there as I am expecting the birth of
our first child at the end of March.

I have enjoyed exploring the tutukaka coast
by sailing, walking, swimming, on bicycle and horseback.
I have a deep respect and appreciation for this beautiful
part of the world I am privileged to know.
I have done two bike tours around Northland.
I have travelled around the rest of the country to
a lesser extent including two trips to the south island.
I hope to travel a lot more in the future,
probably when baby’s a bit older!
